Freelander 2 HSE is a pleasure to drive on-road and off-road, delivering agile handling and outstanding ride comfort. The well appointed interior is exemplified by the choice of Napoli leather seat facings with six-way driver (with three memory settings for the driver seat and exterior mirrors) and four-way passenger electric adjustment. Choose between four different facia finishes including the optional Lacquered Piano Black effect finisher. There is an Alpine™ audio system, and the option of the Premium Pack with which includes softer, more supple Windsor leather seats with eight-way driver and six-way passenger electric adjustment. Also available is DVD satellite navigation, Bluetooth® connectivity and a panoramic sunroof.

The optional panoramic sunroof – with a fixed rear section and electric tilting/sliding front section – adds to the feeling of lightness and airiness within the cabin. The refined and powerful 3.2 litre i6 Petrol engine produces 233PS/171kW and employs advanced technologies, including Cam Profile Switching and Variable Valve Timing for more power, a better spread of torque and greater efficiency. The standard six-speed automatic transmission comes with CommandShift® which allows the driver to make manual sequential changes. Sport mode offers an even livelier performance. This engine achieves 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds.

Dynamic Stability Control is designed to correct over- or under-steer. The system interacts with the engine and the brakes to help maintain stability.; Cornering Brake Control (CBC)
Cornering Brake Control (CBC) feeds additional brake force to the outside front wheel when cornering. This minimises the risk of rear-end breakaway when braking hard.; Roll Stability Control (RSC)
While no technology can remove the need for safe driving practice, the Roll Stability Control (RSC) system can help the driver to maintain vehicle control and balance. If the system senses that the vehicle is approaching a tipping point, it will reduce engine power and use the ABS to increase the turn radius to help reduce the likelihood of roll-over.
